Prophecy for 2008

2008:THE YEAR OF FREEDOM

Welcome to 2008. God asked me to tell you, it is your year of freedom! Prophetically, we have come into a year in which we will see an exodus of miracles and testimonies. People that have long been in positioning will suddenly come into commissioning. Do you understand what I am saying? Open and read Luke 19: 29 – 40. There we have the story of Jesus sending His men to look for a particular colt which none had used before but tied down and grounded. Hear me, from 2008, whatever has rendered you useless is giving way for your release and lifting. You are coming free to fulfil your destiny. Who tied the colt? Men of course. Only God knows what that colt might have done but they tried to stop its destiny. But these are the days you are coming out of every form of captivity. It is Freedom time!

Did you see what happened during the loosing of the colt? Verse 33,'And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, why loose ye the colt?'

The owners said why loose this colt? In other words they were saying it is useless; there is no need; no point even in trying. It doesn’t matter what men have said about you, it doesn’t matter if they say you are not good for that promotion, it doesn’t matter if doctors have told you that sickness is incurable, it doesn’t matter if until now you are swimming in mind boggling debts; what I know is that God is saying ‘He has not made you useless, He has not made you to die the death of chickens. He has a great future for you and you are coming free into that future this year’. If you have a future you can’t have a full stop rather a fortune. No more will your future be bleak, abandoned and tied down.

What a waste, that colt was tied down. Is it finance or lack of education that has tied you down? Is it the colour of your skin that is the problem or the city where you live? Friends, know for certain that God never ties anyone down. It’s not God that brought you so low so much that you have to beg for every meal. No! It’s not God that sticked that shame on you so much that every one has deserted you. God has not said you will spend the rest of your life as a bachelor or a spinster nor has He made any to be barren. No o!

The good news however is, what ever your captivity may be, in 2008 God is bringing you freedom! He is changing your story to glory! Jesus brought change to that colt. Suddenly, years of suffering, deprivation and relegation was terminated just by one word from the King of kings.  A RHEMA word suddenly burst forth from heaven for that colt. JUST ONE WORD set it free: ‘The Lord has need of him’ (verse 34).

This WORD was powerful enough that neither the wickedness of its owners or the length of it’s captivity, nor the toughness of the rope used to tie it ever mattered. ‘The lord has need of him’ broke through all those barriers and freedom came in. Oh Glory! And the fact that it was located in one tiny village did not count at all. You see, a word from God does not respect your location; the WORD of this season will find you out. This 2008, good news will pursue and overtake you. Kings will look for you to bless you. Angels will run errands for your sake. God Himself will send packages of blessings to your address. Rejoice!

Just like Joseph (Psalm 105: 17 – 22), until the word came for the colt, it's destiny was relegated to the backyard. He did not even make the village team of asses. But Jesus saw in this village drop out, the grace and stardom to take Him to the capital Jerusalem. You see in every drop out is a quality which nobody has seen nor ever exploited. In every disappointment is an appointment. It is not over if you have 'drop out' of something, you can be a 'drop in' in something else. God sees a star in you , you are not useless and needless! It is not about what people are saying it is what God is saying that really matters.

Even though this colt did not make the working class, yet when freedom came, the anointing commissioned it to join the ruling class. Better choices like camels, horses and chariots were dropped just for the colt to take Jesus to Jerusalem, the city of the great king! Even its owners must have been among those that shouted praises and bowed down to it and Jesus during their triumphant ride. In 2008, you are changing level from the poor, sick broke class into the super success class. You are moving from debt into financial freedom. Shout Amen if you believe it! You are moving higher!

Imagine, the colt was literally without any form of experience but was completely raw and tender! Yet Jesus climbed on the colt! It carried the glory of the Lord! ´The strength of the Lord became it's strength! Thank God for all the qualifications and strengths you may have but what God is about to give you will be too much. It is impossible to gain qualification for it! Be careful not to try to be like others in 2008! It can disqualify you from it’s blessing! God is already impressed with what He has prepared you for!

In 2008, you will be decorated with glory; for all your shame, God will give you double honour. It doesn’t matter how bleak the times are, the Lord that freed Daniel in Babylon will look upon you with favour. He will heal your sicknesses, He will wipe out your debts. No more tears for you. Now is the time the world will see the treasure in you. They will acknowledge your star to be of the highest order! Your Husband will love you and not desire strange women anymore. Competition will give way to your celebration. Welcome to your time of discovery!

Jesus discovered the colt! Glory! And you already know what happened thereafter. Its greatness began. Strange and uncommon favour followed. In carrying Jesus the King, it enjoyed a favour that men will even die to obtain. It entered into prophetic dominion as declared in Zechariah 9:9 about 600 years ever before the colt was born. Get ready, your prophetic destiny is now. Uncommon favour is coming your way. What you didn’t struggle for will suddenly be given to you.  Miracles that have never been shared before will suddenly happen in your life.

And you know what, when that colt finished the assignment of that day it was never grounded again, it's curse of stagnation was for ever broken. The yoke of satanic delay and mockery was forever destroyed in it's life. It's master saw for the first time it’s capacity for success and greatness. So I say to you, your deliverance shall be permanent. You will enjoy total victory this year. Your breakthroughs will be irresistible and undeniable.

Jesus said in Luke 4: 18,'The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me ….. to preach deliverance to the captives ……'

The WORD worked for the colt because the person that spoke it was anointed to free the captives whether humans or animals. The anointing in the WORD from God is like a tornado that can crash through any barrier. It carries enough power to drive too many fishes into the boats of Peter and company despite their failure at sea the previous night! A WORD from God carries enough power and expertise than all known antibiotics and surgeon scalpels. The WORD healed a woman tied by 12 years of ceaseless blood flow and raised up a man who was grounded and bedridden for 38 years! Now is your turn to be loosed! Receive, confess and step on this anointed WORD. Welcome to divine freedom, welcome to your hour of liberty. NO MORE DELAY; IT IS FREEDOM TIME!
